Hi again

I’ve been working on the next chapter of EHFNR.

I posted chapter one last month and though I wasn’t overwhelmed with demands for more, I have kept pushing onwards. If you missed part one, it’s here:

Everything Happens For No Reason - Chapter 1

I know I put the sitcom pilot scripts of this idea up a few months ago, but I don’t think I’ve given you the long form version that I think I started writing in lockdown (or thereabouts).

I am largely seeing where the story takes me and seeing if I can write a long form narrative that works. It’s very much a first draft, but I’m hoping there’s something worthwhile in here. I’m putting whatever else I do for Paid Subscribers, as it probably doesn’t make sense to give a book away for free. It’s nice to do the odd bit here to reward the people who have been kind enough to pay. Join them if you want this and other extra content, but I understand that not everyone can do that, so most stuff on here is free.

If I get a book out of it then great. But it’s more about the learning experience at the moment, so my few dozen paid subs can get this little treat and probably be the only people to ever read it! Seems fair.

Richard Herring's Substack is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.

Nearly at 10,000 words amazingly. Apologies for any bits that don’t make sense right now. I’m as confused as you are and almost as confused as Yvonne is. Let me know if you like where’s it going. Or if you think I should stop.
