Don't blame us! Most Edinburgh residents don't benefit in any way from the festival! It is a behemoth of a monster. I'm so sorry to all performers and tourists for all the blood-sucking. Come any other time if the year and it's quite a nice place. Well, maybe avoid Hogmanay. Hope you and your family enjoy your stay, despite the cost x

Wishing you a most successful Fringe. As someone who enjoys your podcasts

immensely, I have complete faith in your show. Only wish I could be there 🙁

I’m gutted I can’t make the Sheffield show. Going to be in hospital having a minor op on my ears on Friday and Saturday. I had tickets to see Michael Palin on Friday and I can’t go to that either. Stupid ears. Enjoy Sheffield and please come again!

Oh that sucks (or whatever ear equivalent is). Sheffield always turns up for RHLSTP so will do my best to return! Good luck with op!

Not everyone who goes to the festival is a billionaire. Some of us are paupers, making sacrifices to make it our main holiday of the year, staying in the most basic accommodation in order to afford the tickets.

I am criticising the fringe not the audience. If you can make it work (and it’s still not cheap at its cheapest) congrats
