I will never forget the fear and terror coursing through me when we did the one off with Perkins and then she was word perfect with zero rehearsal. *applause* I also remember that Edinburgh as the one where one person in the flat (and I never discovered who) used an unnatural amount of toilet paper.

That tour delayed my career by a decade. (Specifically that night we did the Gilded Balloon) Still gives me the shudders.

Absolutely destroyed nearly all of my confidence too. Meant I felt like the enemy for first 10 years of career, made me veer away from stand up and pushed me from high status to low status character! Thought I could have Keith Allen on RHLSTP and then realised how triggering all that was. Probably made me a more interesting comedian in long run but I still don’t think I’ve processed it properly! Happy days!

I was a judge on Masterchef when he was a contestant and his food was shit and it was a tiny moment of revenge for all those years ago. You never forget people who have been unnecessarily cruel.

Such an evocative picture. Hard to tell whether first-show euphoria or last-show relief. Apart from the Guinness logo it could have been taken last week when I was there - though you'd either have to use de-ageing software or find a new, much younger cast.
